As the name suggests, the Vallée Blanche translates to
The White Valley.
In the company of your professionally trained
esf instructor-guide, you will discover the glacial slopes of the Mont-Blanc Massif in all its glory.
The routes and descents of the Vallée Blanche start at the top of the Aiguille du Midi (3812m) where, after exiting the ice tunnel, you are straight onto the ‘arête’ (a mountain ridge). It is here you will experience one of the most treacherous but exciting points of the route as you make your way along the ridge, which has a 50-degree slope on both sides. By this time your adrenaline will be pumping and you will already be making memories that will never leave you.
A safety rope is placed along the descending path during the busy parts of the season as an element of safety, however, looking down at the miniature houses and town below, it hits home as to what you are experiencing and achieving as a skier.
An enjoyable and adrenaline fuelled 23km descent then awaits you!
Enjoy the beauty and sheer vastness of the panoramic views from the Aiguille du Midi on the Mont-Blanc side, the Aiguilles du Diable, the Jorasses, the Drus, the Aiguille Verte and many more spectacular scenes.
